Eddy Farm School for Horse & Rider on South Street Extension is known for boarding, training and horsemanship summer camps.  Aurora Learning Center supports Addison County children and their families with educational and recreational experiences in after-school programming, summer and vacation camps, and daytime learning opportunities. Middlebury Area Land Trust, better known as MALT, provides year-round youth programming and camps, as well as the Trail Around Middlebury (TAM), an incredible resource for all ages with 18 miles of footpath encircling the village and links to several hundred acres of town land, conserved properties and local landmarks. You’ll want to visit Frog Hollow Bikes for rentals, maps and recommendations for great local rides (as well as for maintenance, repair and sales!). And we cannot forget the Ralph Myhre Golf Course that offers the public incredible views from the edge of town on the Middlebury College campus from its beautiful 18-hole golf course.

Mention the name, Otter Creek Bakery, and the response will be accolades and smiles every time. This iconic downtown Middlebury hub is a pillar of the community. Its reputation is stellar and its role well cemented in the minds of all who have lived in Middlebury over the past thirty years. On the main thoroughfare in the heart of downtown, Middlebury, this little bakery is hard to top! Hand crafted products with local ingredients provide a food emporium, from lattes to pate! The bakery is always hopping, serving up deliciousness from early morning til the end of the day, seven days per week, catering to the breakfast, lunch, and afternoon espresso crowd. The open kitchen invites social interaction and mutual affection between those in front and behind multiple display cases. This business has won its way into the hearts of all who know it. Behind the scenes are Ben and Sarah Wood who have owned the Bakery for three decades. They can't say enough about the loyalty of their customers and staff. There is love all round- in the products freshly made daily, the customers, and the staff, many of whom have been working at the bakery for years. A new owner can expect to build on this incredible foundation but be confident that there is plenty of upside.
