Chartered in 1761, Cornwall is a wonderful town that lays just west and south of Middlebury. It's population of almost 1,200, covers 29 square miles. One of the strongest features of Cornwall is its remarkable countryside just a 5-minute drive from downtown Middlebury. The rolling hills and open land, dotted with apple orchards and small working farms, is what gives Cornwall its quintessential Vermont character. Much of the real estate in Cornwall either has views of the Green Mountains or the Adirondack Mountains.
